Not your typical harem romcom. The show leans much more heavily on the relationship between the sisters than the relationship to the main protagonist. Season two leans on this even more and there are a lot of emotional episodes.
There is still plenty of light heartedness but the show really shines when it is more serious.

reasons The main story of Go-Toubun no Hanayome~ takes place after Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2, and before Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome, thus it is a sequel/prequel respectively. Go-Toubun no Hanayome~ does include flashbacks to events that take place during the first two seasons (Go-Toubun no Hanayome and Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2), that were not shown as such (from a different perspective) during those two seasons (In that sense it is somewhat of a side story to both seasons). However the main storyline takes place between Go-Toubun no Hanayome 2, and before Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome, and the flashbacks are only used to progress the main storyline. As such it should be considered a sequel to the second season, and a prequel to the movie Eiga Go-Toubun no Hanayome.

Not your average harem anime and literally underrated in my opinion, as it has so much more to offer. The show is well animated, comedy is used in a moderate fashion and each character feels real. Even until the end, some of the female cast doesn't fall for the main character at all, which makes all of their interactions and conversations much more enjoyable and believable overall.
Even if you're not into harem shows, this might be worth a watch for you.

A nice harem story about a guy and five sisters.
For once it's a harem story where I didn't feel embarrassed on behalf of the characters or had the urge to look again since it's cringy. Not at all. I really enjoyed watching it since it's kind of cheerful, cute and likeable. Naturally it also has some nice romance and emotional stories.
This was a pleasant watch and I have to it that I want to see the continuation of it as well. Am rooting for Miku since she's definitely the cutest by the way.

An average harem-com, but it gets to be average in unique ways. The premise, as well as the characters, are rather refreshing takes on the general templates, and one of the key aspects of the show is slow, progressive character growth-- apparently slow enough that some people don't really even see it. It was the psychology of the girls that drew me into the manga, and the MC is respectable enough, which is rather rare in harem anime/manga. What trips this show up is an over-reliance on the antics and an under-reliance on the psychology. Although it's a mostly faithful adaptation of the manga's beginnings, there's just enough different in tone that it doesn't deliver as well as the manga does. Hence, it feels rather generic even while it delivers what it mostly needed to. Looking forward to the second season.

i don't understand how this show can be rated so poorly

hell some of them dont fall for the dude at all.
if you are looking for the old guy trips over nothing face first in to some cleavage then you are out of luck, this show has little to no fan-service because it doesn't need it.
but if you are looking for good, believable romance with a great cast then you have come to the right place.

Well above average harem rom-com. The jokes land pretty reliably, the characters are more grounded than is customary in the genre and it's just generally well-made.
I have to echo others here that some arcs and some character development felt rushed. I also could've done without the generic childhood plot twist, but ultimately those were minor issues for me.
It's mostly what it sounds like, but ever so slightly more well-made than expected. If you want a fluffy rom-com, I definitely recommend this over most of its contemporaries.

The concept of tutoring 5 beautiful girls struggling in high school was interesting and there are enjoyable parts throughout, but there are many cliche and stereotypical tropes in this anime. All the characters are pleasant and if like harem/romance type anime, this will be right up your ally.
